CARE GUIDE FOR YOUR FURSUIT

CLEANING Paws, tail & exterior of the head

UPDATED: 3/9/2025

ALWAYS USE COLD WATER when cleaning your fursuit.

DO NOT SOAK HEADS & DO NOT SCRUB THE FUR. NEVER USE ALCOHOL ON ANY PARTS.

Use only a small amount of soap and add water on a NON-DYED rag to wash the outside part of your suit (tail and head). Sponge to soak and wipe the fur gently with the rag. NEVER GO AGAINST THE FUR when doing so

Faux fur is a special and delicate fabric. You can easily pull fabric out if mishandled.

When drying, NEVER use a hair dryer on hot setting or drying machine. Any warm air will melt anything that is hot-glued on the head and might ruin your fabric. We recommend use a regular fan and hang your fursuit parts to dry.

You can soak the paws. DO NOT USE A  WASHING MASHING. The tail can also be soaked but is not recommended as it can take a longer time to dry.

The detachable chin padding can be washed under COLD water and soap.

CLEANING interior of the head

To clean everything else you can use a clean NON-DYED rag with a bit of dish soap and water or you can use UNBLEACHED cleaning wipes to wipe down the resin parts, tongue, and mouth.

Make sure you use a fan to dry the inside of the head as it is a closed space.

keep in mind

The jaw works with spring locks, only open the mouth wide if necessary, if opened too wide you might wear out the springs and potentially break them.

When using fursuit spray inside the head, keep it away from the eyes. The eyes are glued and fursuit sprays are made of alcohol. Alcohol breaks down glue. If you use fursuit spray on your head do not spray too much on.

The eyes are the most fragile part of the fursuit, keep anything that could poke (including fingers) away from them.

be careful with the zipper when zipping, make sure you keep the fur away from it as it can get stuck.
